Are you passionate about storytelling, strategy, and making a real difference in your community? At Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI), we're looking for a full-time Marketing Coordinator who's ready to help us share powerful stories and grow our impact across the state. This position is based in Des Moines and offers a unique opportunity to use your creative skills in service of a mission that truly matters.
What You'll Do
As a Marketing Coordinator, you'll play a key role in bringing LSI's message to life. You'll collaborate with an experienced team to shape communications that inspire, inform, and engage our diverse audiences - from supporters and donors to staff and community members.
Your projects will include:
Writing and distributing press releases and internal communications
Creating marketing content across print, digital, and social platforms
Managing and updating website content
Developing materials for fundraising campaigns and events
Supporting social media strategy and content planning
We're looking for someone who is creative, organized, and excited to contribute to a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. This position has the possibility of a hybrid work from home schedule after 90 days.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
At least one year of professional experience in a communications or marketing role
Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to both big-picture messaging and fine details
The ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
A collaborative spirit and a proactive attitude
Bonus points for graphic design skills, familiarity with CMS platforms, or experience in nonprofit communications!
Applicants may be asked to share two samples of their professional work (written, digital, or visual) as part of the interview process.
