Analyst, Content Planning
The Content Strategy and Acquisitions team within the Global TV distribution organization at Sony Pictures has an opening for an Analyst. The team works closely with the various Production units to greenlight new TV Series and Films for the sales organization to distribute worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented candidate interested in content distribution.
The Analyst will support the Senior Manager of Content Planning with annual prioritization activities, development and maintenance of sales materials, tools and assets to ensure all content is ready and available for global sales teams to take to market.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate annual market prioritization exercise and support with delivery of sales and marketing materials to global sales teams
Maintain data from annual catalog planning process to help inform marketing
Manage pay deal qualifying slots to proactively flag potential acquisition opportunities
Maintain marketing budget tool for new TV series to monitor spend across global and local marketing teams
Work with Global Sales Planning teams to align on content product assumptions
Maintain sales hubs and dashboards for TV, Features, Anime and Library product
Work with content technology teams on tool enhancements (e.g. GPI, SPE Connect, etc.)
Maintain product communications and deliverable calendar in partnership with marketing
Work cross-functionally with marketing and content services to enhance the overall value of Sony's library by refreshing and enhancing assets
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in entertainment
Bachelor's degree
Strong passion for content and familiarity with TV and Film
Familiarity working with international markets and regional content sensibilities
Ability to work cross-functionally and cultivate relationships with team around the world
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with shifting priorities
Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills required with the ability to learn new systems, Tableau experience preferred
