Training Manager of Signals, Communication & Train Control

in

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

to join our team.

The pay range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. Responsible and accountable for leading, developing, managing and performing (with assistance) the training programs for signals, communications, train control (CADD, BOS, PTC) and ensuring compliance with FRA Part 243. Ensures signals, communications, train control (CADD, BOS, PTC) and related employees are tested and trained on FRA Part 234 and 236, Scope Sections 15, 16, 17, SMM and similar signal, communication and train control manuals. Spends 33% of time in the field or at DOC and MOC observing, testing, mentoring employees. Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. Degree in safety, occupational safety, electronics, or computer science preferred. Classes and certificates safety, occupational safety, training signal, communications, train control (CADD, PTC BOS, MDM) maintenance In-depth familiarity with FRA & CPUC railroad industry standards safety and especially 234, 236 , 243, 270. SMM, SCRRA GCOR qualified, and Hi-Rail territory qualified all subdivisions. Pass written tests including but not limited to FRA Part 234, 236, SMM and Authority's GCOR, MOW Safety and Operational Rules, On-Track Safety Hi-Rail qualified on all territories. Railroad Safety Subject Matter Expert on Railroad Signals, Communications, Train Control (CADD, BOS, MDM, PTC. Good management and very good communication/teaching skills. Pre-Employment Requirements:

Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsements as required per position. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position. Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis. Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role. This is a non-exhaustive overview of the physical requirements of this job.

Perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force. Able to walk on uneven surfaces. Occasionally ascend/descend step ladders and/or stairs. Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time. Regularly kneel, bend, and squat. Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position. Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position. Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet). Safety:
