Robert Half is partnering with a global tech and entertainment company in search of a Visual Designer & Design System Specialist to support a growing cloud gaming platform. This contract role is an exciting opportunity to help build and scale a design system that powers creative production across multiple countries and campaigns.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Figma, passionate about design systems, and has a personal interest in gaming culture. They will join a small, embedded creative team within the marketing organization and play a key role in expanding the visual foundation of a global brand.
Location: Bellevue, WA (hybrid-onsite 1 day/week)
Duration: 6-month contract w/ potential to extend
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $40-43/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve a robust Figma-based design system that ensures consistency and efficiency across marketing assets.
- Create smart, reusable components, templates, and variables to support brand scalability across multiple countries and game launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional creative and marketing teams to streamline workflows and improve production velocity.
- Improve upon a recently migrated system from Photoshop to Figma, ensuring it meets the demands of an expanding platform.
- Apply strong visual design fundamentals-typography, layout, and hierarchy-to produce polished, on-brand work.
- Support rebranding efforts and regional marketing needs by scaling design systems across global touchpoints.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of design experience, including2+ years specifically in design systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, components, and variables.
- Demonstrated experience scaling design systems across large, complex projects.
- Strong visual design skills and a solid understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, UX, or equivalent work experience.
- An online portfolio that clearly showcases contributions to successful, scalable design systems.
- Personal interest in gaming or familiarity with gaming culture.
- Experience withAdobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Familiarity withdesign tokens, automation, and accessibility standards.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS).
- Experience developing or usingFigma pluginsor JavaScript tool
