Our client, a Juniors + women's manufacturing brand, is seeking an Assistant CAD Designer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D flat sketches based on original samples, garments, or reference images in collaboration with the Design and Sales teams.
  • Conceptualize and design Junior brand apparel in alignment with current fashion trends.
  • Possess a strong understanding of garment spec measurements within the Junior Apparel industry.
  • Work closely with the team leader on new projects, trend research, development, and sketching.
  • Develop CADs and graphics from flat sketches to support the Sales, Design, and Production teams.
  • Maintain and organize CAD, graphic, and print libraries.
  • Adapt existing artwork and body sketches based on customer needs and seasonal trends/colors.
  • Prepare and present fashion flats for buyer meetings and development presentations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with strong color sense and the ability to convert fabric colors to Pantone/CSI standards.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment, effectively managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment while taking initiative and demonstrating a proactive approach.
  • Strong color sense with the ability to convert fabric colors to Pantone/CSI standards.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.

Salary: $50,000-65,000 Commensurate with experience
