The Role: Director of Marketing (aka Brand Builder + Vision Driver)Were looking for a marketing powerhouse whos ready to do more than just lead. This is a hands-on, full-stack marketing leadership role where youll drive brand growth, lead launches, write copy, build campaigns, plan events, support sales, and shape the future of the company.

The right person for this role will become a true business partner in Squier's Specialty Collective with real equity. We've nailed the products, now we just need to fill in a few final puzzle pieces.
Core ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning- Develop and execute the full marketing strategy across DTC, wholesale, retail, and events
- Build quarterly and annual calendars aligned to product launches and growth targets
- Set budgets, campaign performance goals, and track KPIs
- Optimize campaigns based on real results
- Be the brand steward across all channels: voice, visuals, and feel
- Oversee storytelling across social, web, PR, influencer, and paid media
- Own content creation (photo, video, lifestyle shoots, short-form, etc.)
- Maintain a consistent, elevated, sensory-forward brand identity
- Lead GTM plans for all product releases (e.g. gummies, elixirs, seasonal SKUs)
- Build messaging, timelines, launch assets, and retail/field toolkits
- Coordinate with ops/sales to ensure launches drive sell-through
- Manage Shopify site, landing pages, SEO, and CRO
- Own Klaviyo email/SMS campaigns and flows (welcome, abandoned cart, promo)
- Lead paid ads across Meta, Google, TikTok, and more
- Track performance and constantly iterate based on data
- Create sales materials (one-pagers, decks, POS, budtender tools)
- Drive in-store marketing and sampling programs
- Align with field sales teams and support activation in each territory
- Pitch and onboard new accounts (dispensaries, grocers, wellness shops)
- Deepen relationships with current retailers through co-marketing and activations
- Secure high-volume regional accounts and partner with delivery platforms
- Launch incentive programs for budtenders and sales reps
- Co-brand with cannabis, lifestyle, and food/bev brands
- Partner with chefs, influencers, and musicians for collabs
- Create limited drops and curated bundles
- Manage partnerships with festivals, concerts, and wellness events
- Host pop-ups and co-branded activations with food trucks and breweries
- Run yoga classes, hikes, and community-building events
- Build and manage micro-influencer rosters
- Run UGC campaigns and paid partnerships with TikTokers, chefs, etc.
- Pitch products to media outlets, bloggers, and award roundups
- Own local PR outreach and community storytelling
- Launch newsletter swaps, affiliate programs, and hospitality drops
- Build retail CRM and outreach tools
- Support the sales team with materials, events, and weekly check-ins
- Research expansion markets and build activation playbooks
- Launch a national ambassador/advocate program
- Collect and report consumer/retailer feedback to leadership
- 10+ years in marketing, preferably in cannabis, beverage, CPG, or lifestyle brands
- Proven success in growing DTC and wholesale revenue
- Expertise in Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, SEO, and Adobe Suite
- Experience managing content production and campaign execution
- Comfortable with data analysis, performance tracking, and creative direction
- You can lead strategy and execute the work
- Self-motivated, low ego, all-in mindset
- Salary Range: $120,000$150,000 annually (DOE)
