The combined North American business now has more than 1,000 employees, operates across forty locations, including 8 brick plants, 25 masonry supply center locations and 3 Design Studios.
The Design Studio Manager is responsible for the long-term sustainable growth by gaining specifications for stylish products on volume projects, managing the Design Studio space as a unique event destination. The manager is also responsible for providing input on product development initiatives and assisting with the execution of sales strategy.

SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies including but not limited to a weekly events program in line with budget;
- Establish and maintain relationships with decision makers such as but not limited to, architects, building designers, interior designers, key builders, developers and retail customers;
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal contacts, with particular focus on sales teams and product development;
- Develop, manage, and collaborate with Design Studio partners to maintain and build on existing customer base
- Encourage strong working relationship with Design Studio partners to ensure superior service
- Achieve budgets and operational costs targets
- Grow opportunity targets by developing relationships with architects and designers by direct reach out, attending industry events and office visits as necessary
- Implement strategies and tactics to develop new project opportunities and achieve design studio sales targets
- Demonstrate expertise in construction documents to provide technical advice
- Demonstrate sound working knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Detail oriented and accurate
- Supervisory skills including ability to develop subordinates and delegate responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- College degree in architectural, interior design, engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of building product materials and construction industry
- Three to five years previous experience in sales/customer service supervision
