The University of Evansville seeks a creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized Department and Conservatory Admissions Specialist to support outreach, marketing, and recruitment efforts for two academic units: the UE Department of Archaeology & Anthropology (1/3 of the position) and the UE Music Conservatory (2/3 of the position.) This position plays a vital role in attracting prospective students, managing communication, supporting event planning, and collaborating with faculty and staff to grow enrollment and visibility.
This position offers the chance to blend creativity with strategy-crafting compelling messages, building relationships with prospective students and families, and helping shape the public face of the Department of Archaeology & Anthropology and the Music Conservatory. Responsibilities Include
Serve as a welcoming and informed point of contact for prospective students and their families. Manage outreach and communication through email, phone, and digital platforms throughout the admissions process. Coordinate campus visits, sample lessons, auditions, and recruitment events. Prepare and send music admissions and scholarship letters in coordination with Admissions and Financial Aid. Track and manage prospect data using Slate and generate reports to inform outreach strategy. Design, maintain, and distribute marketing materials including viewbooks, flyers, and digital content. Maintain active and engaging social media presence for both departments. Work closely with the Office of Marketing on publicity and branding projects. Attend regional recruitment events (e.g., music festivals, professional conferences) as a university representative. Collaborate with faculty to connect prospective students to relevant academic experiences and mentors. Assist with department calendars, publicity, web updates, and occasional administrative support. Contribute to alumni engagement and storytelling related to student recruitment. Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer use Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Prior experience in recruitment, admissions, marketing, or related fields Familiarity with the disciplines of music, archaeology, or anthropology is not required, but may be helpful. Experience with CRM systems such as Slate is not required, but may be helpful Comfort with social media content creation, graphic design tools, and web editing The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

This is a full-time, year-round position structured as 30 hours per week during the academic year (42 weeks) and 20 hours per week over the summer (10 weeks).
