The University of Montana Western is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CRM/Enrollment Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is central to optimizing our recruitment efforts through effective CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system management and strategic enrollment marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a balance of technical CRM and creative marketing skills to attract, engage, and enroll prospective students.

Enrollment Marketing

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing plans and campaigns (email, text, social media, print, tv, and web) to support recruitment and admissions objectives.
  • Collaborate with University Communications and other departments to align messaging and branding across all channels.
  • Use CRM analytics and marketing data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and inform strategy.
  • Manage digital assets and content for prospective student communications and admission webpages.

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Work closely with admissions counselors, academic departments, and university leadership to support recruitment strategies.
  • Support campus events such as campus visits, preview days, and orientation by managing related communications and registrations in the CRM.
  • Analyze enrollment trends and provide actionable insights to improve outreach and yield.

CRM Management (Slate or similar platform)

  • Administer the universitys CRM system for prospective student engagement, application tracking, and communication flows.
  • Assist with user roles and permissions within Slate to ensure appropriate access and security.
  • Build and maintain CRM workflows, reports, data imports/exports, and automations that support recruitment and admissions goals.
  • Monitor CRM data integrity and troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with IT and third-party vendors.
  • Stay current with Slate updates, new features, and best practices.
  • Train staff and student workers on CRM use and best practices.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business, data analytics, higher education, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in CRM management, digital marketing, or enrollment services.
  • Demonstrated experience with CRM platforms (Slate preferred) and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of Slate CRM specifically.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, and email marketing platforms.
