Job Description
Join the University of Northern Iowas Housing & Dining and Recreation Services team as a Marketing Coordinator, where youll play a key role in promoting a vibrant campus living experience. This position blends creativity and strategy, supporting multi-channel marketing efforts through graphic design, social media, and promotional materials. Youll help showcase UNIs top-rated dining, residential options, and recreation services - which all contribute to the dynamic student experience on UNI's campus.
Primary Function : Assists with the development, creation and implementation of multi-channel marketing strategies and communications such as print, electronic communications, and digital and social media marketing; develops and recommends various marketing strategies to increase the utilization of the departments housing, dining, and recreation services by students, faculty, staff and guests; assists with the development and execution of creative concepts and themes for communications; creates and designs promotional materials, ensuring the University and department brands are integrated appropriately; helps to promote housing, dining, and recreation services on campus to current students, prospective students and customers; and collaborates with members of the division of Student Life on campaigns and other high-level needs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design, or related field; at least three years of marketing and design experience; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); excellent communication, presentation, writing and content development skills; ability to balance multiple projects; exceptional attention to detail; and excellent writing and proofreading skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience creating marketing campaigns and writing with brand voice; experience executing multi-channel communications, especially social media, and digital content creation; video and photography experience; and special events/outreach coordination preferred.
