Position Summary: The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the development and engagement strategy by executing thoughtful, donor-centric communications and leading digital marketing efforts. This role is responsible for delivering timely donor communications, managing direct mail campaigns, and driving digital efforts that engage both high-capacity and potential donors. While reporting to the Director of Donor Engagement, this role requires the ability to collaborate within a team dynamic that includes the Director of Donor Engagement and the Creative Media Specialist to ensure consistent messaging, smart segmentation, and high-quality content across platforms. While the organizational focus leans toward major donors, there is room to explore innovative, targeted digital strategies for other donor segments. This position requires someone who can take initiative, execute independently, and bring fresh ideas to the table while staying within the organizations donor engagement strategy. Key Responsibilities: Write and deliver donor-focused communications including direct mail, email updates, campaign messaging, and project update reports. Turn project updates (gathered by the Director of Donor Engagement) into clear, timely, and professional communication pieces for donor distribution. Execute personalized outreach strategies based on segmentation donor personas, giving level, engagement status, and sponsorship involvement. Execute all digital marketing efforts including email marketing (A/B testing, segmentation), social media strategy and scheduling, targeted digital ads, and Google AdWords. Explore creative donor engagement strategies, such as influencer marketing, peer-to-peer fundraising, or other ideas, to deepen connection with supporters in smart, segmented ways. Collaborate with the Creative Media Specialist to shape website content for clarity, campaign messaging, and consistency; provide copy and strategic input, while the Creative Media Specialist handles the actual editing and updates. Create and manage donation and event registration forms tied to specific campaigns, ensuring proper setup, messaging, and functionality. Coordinate blog writing and publicationincluding sourcing stories, writing/editing content, and posting. Work collaboratively with the Creative Media Specialist to coordinate visual assets required for digital and print campaigns. Evaluate campaign performance, track engagement analytics, and recommend strategy refinements based on results. Collaborate as part of a unified team with the Director of Donor Engagement and Creative Media Specialist to ensure consistency, innovation, and strategic alignment. Qualifications: Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (email marketing, Google AdWords, social media, web content management systems). Familiarity with website content structure, user experience principles, and Craft/Wordpress website platforms. Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to tailor messaging to specific donor profiles. Knowledge of donor segmentation and lifecycle-based communication. Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple campaigns and deliverables. Collaborative team member with a commitment to excellence and a Christ-centered mission.
