The Truss Designer will be responsible for producing accurate and efficient designs that meet customer needs while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed layouts and structural plans using industry-standard truss software
- Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to prepare complete truss packages
- Provide technical guidance to builders, contractors, and internal staff
- Ensure designs meet all safety standards, building codes, and project requirements
- Assist production teams with questions related to truss design details
- Prior experience as a Truss Designer strongly preferred
- Familiarity with MiTek, Alpine, or similar truss design software
- Solid understanding of structural load requirements and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities
