iSphere is on the hunt for a
UI/UX Designer
who can bring clarity and creativity to complex systems. This isn't just about making things look good-it's about building accessible, intuitive, and responsive experiences that help real people navigate services that matter.
You'll be embedded in the modernization of HHSC eligibility systems, applying your design expertise to improve usability, accessibility, and responsiveness. If you love turning user research into wireframes, prototypes, and ultimately solutions that make a difference, this role will give you that chance.
What You'll Be Doing Lead user research and journey mapping
to uncover opportunities for optimizing user interactions. Translate findings into
wireframes, prototypes, and visual hierarchies , ensuring alignment with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and branding standards. Partner with organizations like
Code for America
and cross-functional teams to bring industry best practices into every design decision. Conduct
discovery workshops, feedback sessions, and sprint planning , always keeping user needs at the center. Utilize tools such as
Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Hotjar
to create and validate designs. Design
AI/ML interfaces , applying principles of human-AI interaction and explainable AI (XAI). Craft
data visualizations
that make complex data and AI insights understandable to a broad audience. Advocate for
user-centered design
at every stage, ensuring inclusive solutions that serve diverse populations. Collaborate with stakeholders, presenting design rationales clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. What You'll Bring
11+ years
of experience designing user interfaces for enterprise systems, including wireframes, prototypes, and visual hierarchies with tools like
Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch . 10+ years
applying UX design principles (hierarchy, contrast, alignment) to web and mobile interfaces. 10+ years
developing prototypes that support Agile development cycles. 11+ years
collaborating with technical and non-technical teams, translating business needs into accessible, user-friendly designs. Experience designing within
complex systems
(government, healthcare, or finance preferred). Deep knowledge of accessibility standards
(WCAG). Strong communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal. Bonus Points If You Have
Experience designing
graphical diagrams and visual narratives
to communicate workflows and system architecture. Experience
facilitating design workshops
and gathering stakeholder feedback. A
Bachelor's degree
in Graphic Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Ability to juggle multiple design streams in parallel. Familiarity with
eligibility determination systems
or similar data-intensive, rule-based applications.
