Role Summary & Key Responsibilities Translate complex eligibility and regulatory requirements into accessible, responsive UI/UX across HHSC systems. Lead user research, journey mapping, and discovery workshops; present findings and design decisions to stakeholders. Produce IA, wireframes, low/high-fidelity prototypes, and visual hierarchies aligned to accessibility (WCAG) and HHSC brand guidance. Collaborate with Code for America and cross-functional teams to apply industry best practices; participate in sprint planning and feedback cycles. Utilize Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Hotjar (or similar) for design and testing; support agile development with iterative prototypes. Design within AI/ML contexts (explainable AI, human-AI interaction), including clear data visualization of complex logic and insights. Advocate for user-centered design; communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
