Technical Writer (Engineering)
Overview
Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities include:
- Gathering information from subject-matter experts and developing clear procedures, manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Creating comprehensive templates and documentation that meet organizational standards.
- Supporting document validation, verification, and release efforts.
Required Skills
- Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, operation sheets, wiring diagrams, and instructions.
- Translate complex information into user-friendly content.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to navigate a manufacturing facility.
- Prolonged computer use.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
- Excellent typing, written, grammatical, and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with lab equipment.
- Experience with multiple technical disciplines.
- Experience in engineering development and manufacturing environments.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and at least 5 years of technical writing experience.

The salary range in New Jersey is $80,000 - $120,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on experience and skills.
