Operating within a high-mix, low-volume job shop environment, the Expeditor collaborates closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to support efficient execution of the integrated master schedule (IMS). • Escalate and resolve barriers (e.g., missing materials, hold tags, open quality actions, or engineering holds) to prevent schedule slippage.
    • Ensure all project specific Non-Conformances are closed with appropriate disposition prior to completed product being shipped
  • Backlog Burndown Execution
    • Partner with planners and production to create and maintain action plans for all past-due SOLIs (Sales Order Line Items), identifying root causes and ensuring timely closure.
    • Track and report status of overdue items, highlighting risks and driving mitigation plans.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Act as the connective tissue between Planning, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to close gaps in real time.
    • Participate in daily production meetings and drive follow-ups on urgent needs.
    • Review production plans against forecasted material flow and operating environment to identify and report risks to Program Management.
  • Work Center Support
    • Monitor WIP (work-in-progress) at key bottleneck work centers and ensure resources are aligned to meet throughput targets.
    • Ensure that work order packages, tools, and material handling instructions are available and correct.
  • Execution Reporting
    • Maintain and publish dashboards and trackers to communicate real-time execution status.
    • Support weekly schedule attainment reviews and facilitate root cause analysis on misses.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify and implement expediting and material flow best practices to reduce cycle times and improve schedule performance.
    • Support kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives related to production control.
