What You'll Do

As a key member of our sales team, you will:

  • Engage in prospecting and relationship-building with new and existing clients to understand their business goals.
  • Develop and pitch custom marketing campaigns that meet client needs.
  • Represent Cox Media at local business events, trade shows, and industry gatherings.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting efforts.

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2 years of experience in broadcast, advertising sales/support, or marketing; alternatives could include a master's degree with up to 2 years of experience, or six (6) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and meet individual sales targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Team-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Strong grasp of marketing principles applicable to business.
  • Certification from the Interactive Advertising Bureau and/or Google AdWords.

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $0.00 - $0.00, which may vary based on location and relevant experience. This role also has an associated annual incentive/commission target.

Benefits:

We offer eligible employees the flexibility to take as much paid vacation as they need, subject to company needs, alongside seven paid holidays each year and up to 160 hours of paid wellness time for personal or family needs. Additional paid time off options are available for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer activities, military leave, and parental leave.
