In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.Federal Work Study student may apply.In good disciplinary standing.Must be located in the U.S.For complete program details, please go to our website: www.berklee.edu/se.The Red Room Promotion/Marketing Assistants plays a pivotal role in maximizing visibility for events hosted at The Red Room at Cafe 939. Work study will support marketing operations by working to promote events and help to increase audience attendance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Creating posters and event screens and other visual marketing materialsCoordinate with street team to post and distribute physical marketing materialsAttend some shows to capture footage with provided camera/videoPost events to online event listing sites/blogsCommunicate with artists and their managers, event leaders and planners pre-show to strategize a marketing strategyTrack ticket sales and react accordinglyMaintain consistent postings on social media; use social media effectively to promote upcoming eventsPrepare handbills to increase the company's visibility; arranging printing and distributionDevelop relations with other businesses to distribute marketing materialsAll other duties assigned by the supervisor or managerPossible Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Promotion/Marketing Assistants may be asked to take on other responsibilities, if the event or the situation requires it.Required to work some evening events at 939Knowledge and Skills Required:Must be capable of meeting specific deadlines.Attention to detail, organizational skills and accuracy required.Previous Promotions/Marketing experience preferred.Computer skills requiredTeam PlayerCommunication skills to speak effectively and assuredly on behalf of the college and the venue.Pay Rate: Student Worker 3Hiring Manager: Susan Scotti
