Koenig is currently searching for a qualified Service Writer to add to our Team at the Dealership's Germantown, OH location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Koenig Operating Systems to deliver exceptional value to customers and manufacturers, ensuring high-quality service and operational excellence.
  • Execute standard work processes from work order creation to invoicing, optimizing service team productivity, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Handle incoming customer service requests promptly, gather necessary details, provide accurate quotes, secure customer approval, and schedule work. Offer alternative solutions for declined quotes.
  • Collaborate with Service Leadership to assign the appropriate technician for each job based on skill and availability.
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to confirm parts availability, adjusting schedules as needed to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Communicate job progress with the service manager and technicians, addressing any required adjustments by developing updated quotes and obtaining customer approval before proceeding.
  • Review technician-submitted work orders for accuracy and completeness, closing and invoicing once verified.
  • Ensure all returnable parts are received by the Parts Department prior to invoicing.
  • Process warranty-related work orders as directed by the service manager.
  • Identify and assist in creating job codes within IntelliDealer to streamline operations.
  • Incorporate approved training schedules for technicians, ensuring learning paths are integrated into their workflows.
  • Participate in training sessions, both at the dealership and off-site, as required to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and dealership goals.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in a comparable role within a dealership environment.
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration.
  • Commitment to proactive, clear, and thorough communication with customers.
  • Basic understanding of product lines and mechanical systems under repair.
  • Proficiency in using dealership operating systems, vendor computer resources, and basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook functions.
  • Dedication to maintaining high standards and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting principles related to service operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
