Overview

Content Taxonomy Program Manager (Hybrid – Minneapolis) • 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Do you love bringing order to complexity? This role is all about operational governance, connecting content, people, and platforms so that information is organized, discoverable, and usable across a global enterprise. As the Content Taxonomy Program Manager, you’ll act as the organizational force behind marketing and enterprise taxonomy, ensuring that everything from sales enablement tools to creative assets is tagged, structured, and aligned across decentralized teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consistency and governance – Be the steward who ensures content follows a unified taxonomy and metadata model.
  • Map & audit content – Bring clarity to existing assets by aligning them into a global schema.
  • Be the liaison – Translate between content creators and platform owners, helping both sides work smarter together.
  • Guide the content lifecycle – Make sure assets are updated, archived, or retired when they should be.
  • Enable better use of content – Ensure tagging, classification, and metadata are accurate so teams can find and reuse information quickly.
  • Educate & document – Create clear governance guidelines and train teams so the rules of taxonomy stick.
  • Improve incrementally – Continuously enhance frameworks within current systems instead of chasing massive platform overhauls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in content management, digital asset management, product information management, taxonomy design, metadata strategy, or digital library sciences
