Overview
Content Marketing & Web Specialist at Heinen’s Grocery Store. This entry-level role supports the execution of digital content across Heinens.com, email, social media, and event platforms. The position is ideal for a strong communicator with a passion for content creation, brand storytelling, graphic design, and enhancing the online user experience. The Content Marketing & Web Specialist will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to manage content updates, ensure website accuracy, support marketing campaigns, and promote events online as part of Heinen’s Marketing Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Development & Management: Receive and organize content from Heinen’s Content Contributor Network in the digital asset manager; write, edit, and format commissioned and original content for Heinens.com and other digital channels; design promotional graphics for paid and organic social media; collaborate with brand partners to create engaging sponsored content through Heinen’s Vendor Marketing Engagement Program; maintain Google Business Profiles for all 24 store locations, including weekly updates, information accuracy, and customer review management; support content calendars and campaign briefs for marketing initiatives; create original copy for email programs and digital advertisements that align with Heinen’s brand voice and AP Style standards; assist with drafting and distributing the weekly internal marketing newsletter.
- Website Development & Maintenance: Execute scheduled and ad hoc content updates on Heinens.com and SharePoint; design, develop, and publish landing pages for campaigns with accessibility and SEO best practices; partner with external web developers to troubleshoot and resolve site issues promptly; use website monitoring tools to optimize site performance, accessibility, and SEO value.
- Online Event Management: Coordinate with store and main office teams to promote in-store events via Eventbrite, Heinens.com, and Facebook; work with the Customer Relationship Management Team and Accounting Department to manage event billing and post-event surveys.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) preferred.
- Knowledge of basic website analytics, SEO principles, and digital accessibility best practices.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.

Hours & Work Arrangement
Monday–Friday work week; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; hybrid work eligibility (2 days from home, 3 days in office) following 30 days of employment; full-time, 40 hours per week.
