Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide the supervision, planning, budgeting, goals, objectives and development of the Design Division
  • Coordinate weekly meetings or more as necessary with any and all team members, supervisors, employees, and/or contractors as necessary to maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of pending and active projects
  • Create in depth designs of kitchens, bathrooms and full house remodels
  • Create designs for insurance jobs to put back to pre-loss condition
  • Create and maintain vendor relations; cabinet companies/installers, counter top companies/installers
  • Must have knowledge of plumbing and electrical, and knowledge of accurate product selections
  • Create and maintain relations with material vendors
  • Must have adequate knowledge of product selection
  • Create and maintain material lists for all jobs with design renderings
  • Create and maintain price list for current and new vendors
  • Meet with clients to determine design needs and ensure scope of work
  • Go to clients' homes to accurately measure cabinets
  • Meet with Vendors at clients' homes to walk jobs and ensure scope of work needed to be completed
  • Review and confirm renderings are accurate according to the estimate/work orders
  • Review and confirm product orders are accurate when delivered to job site or office

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in the Construction industry
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Xactimate estimating knowledge and certification is a plus
  • 3+ years in Chief Architect design knowledge
  • High school diploma/GED, college degree preferred
  • Excellent customer service during customer interactions
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management/organization skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and function independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace
  • Clean criminal background (no felony convictions)
