Overview

Tzumi – New York, NY is seeking an in-office Video Editor with strong compositing experience to join our team in New York, NY. This is a freelance-to-perm position.

Responsibilities

• Edit video content and create composites using After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Manage the full post-production workflow from layout and graphics to final output.
• Apply color correction and audio mixing to ensure high-quality final products.
• Select and edit music to match the tone, pace, and style of the story.
• Collaborate with teammates and work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional experience editing and working with After Effects for digital outlets.
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop).
• Ability to manage the full post-production workflow, from layout and graphics to final output.
• Strong skills in color correction and audio mixing.
• Ability to select and edit music that matches the tone, pace, and style of the story.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient under tight deadlines.
• Effective time management, able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to take direction well in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with 3D software is a plus.
