Court Reporter - Prescott - VA VISN-22 | Northern Arizona VA Health Care System

Location: Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Northern Arizona VA Health Care System

Scope: Provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium for Government - Federal sector clients including VA health care system engagements.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, timely, bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses; administer oaths as required;


• Prepare transcripts in accordance with client requirements and turnaround times;


• Support program and project management in functional areas with educational and practical experience;


• Contribute to mission success by visualizing, analyzing, and converting data and experiences into actionable outputs;


• Engage professionally with clients and stakeholders to meet milestones and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; at least one year of court reporting experience;


• Certification as a National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) Registered Professional Reporter (RPR), or state-licensed equivalent; related credentials provided within one week upon client request;


• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) to read portions of transcripts and clarify inaudible statements as needed;


• Competence to administer oaths; notary or other authority for deposition transcripts as required;


• Experience with AIB, MSPB, Equal Opportunity hearings, or arbitration is preferred;


• Technical proficiency: comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related tools; ability to communicate via email; required equipment to perform duties;


• Physical requirements: ability to bend, push/pull, reach, walk, stand and sit for extended periods; lift up to 20 pounds;


• Security: U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain necessary background investigations; eligible for security clearance as needed.
