About the Role
- 6-month contract (expected to run into next year and extend if consultant is a good fit).
- Hybrid requirement: 4 days/week on-site in Englewood, CO.
- Full-time hours, not a part-time contract.
- Eligible for benefits while contracting.

This role requires someone with deep knowledge of UI/UX best practices, user research, and accessibility standards, along with a strong ability to translate customer insights into compelling and intuitive designs. As a UX Designer IV, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and executive stakeholders to craft seamless user journeys. You’ll play a key role in shaping the product experience from wireframes to final design, with a strong emphasis on user-centered design thinking.
What You’ll Do
- Develop wireframes, sketches, journey maps, personas, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes using Figma.
- Create responsive and mobile-first UI designs that are accessible and legally compliant.
- Conduct and synthesize user research, including usability testing and customer behavior analysis.
- Deliver visually compelling comps and interactive flows informed by data and research.
- Present concepts, ideas, and insights clearly to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Provide UX guidance to development teams and ensure design intent is maintained through implementation.
- Lead and facilitate workshops or design sessions with cross-functional teams.
Required Experience
- 7+ years of experience in UI/UX design, visual design, and responsive/mobile design.
- Proficient in Figma (including interactive prototyping).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user flows, design systems, and final UI implementations.
- Hands-on experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Experience working with accessibility and web legal compliance standards.
- Comfortable presenting and defending ideas to stakeholders and leadership.
- Deep understanding of usability principles, typography, color theory, and mobile-first design.
- Familiarity with platforms like Dovetail for customer behavior insights.
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile application design.
- Background in leading design projects from inception to launch.
- Familiarity with Material Design or similar design systems.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and cross-team collaboration.
