Overview
The Boston Bruins are hiring a full-time Social Media Manager to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Social Media Manager supports the execution of the Boston Bruins’ strategy across its social media channels and other content avenues. This position is responsible for helping to tell the stories of the hockey club through written, visual, video, audio, and other means of communication.
What you will do
Work alongside the Senior Manager, Digital Content as an administrator of the club’s social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads), with a focus on growing our presence on TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging platforms.
Lead the club’s social media/content influencer strategy by building and cultivating a list of influencers that drive promotion for organizational initiatives on and off the ice.
Assist the Senior Manager, Digital Content in daily and broader strategy and execution; support content planning as assigned, and collaborate with partnerships, marketing, digital marketing, community relations, Foundation, and other disciplines to grow the Bruins’ brand.
Identify new and engaging ways to deliver content for the Bruins’ fans and followers, while appealing to new and diverse audiences as platforms evolve; stay on top of social media trends and features to keep the club’s content fresh and aligned with the organization’s brand values.
Support editorial coverage on the club’s website and social media platforms with occasional on-camera responsibilities, including hosting daily news packages, conducting on-camera 1-on-1 interviews, and appearing in social media videos (TikTok and Reels) when appropriate.
Assist, as assigned, with the club’s video production operation.
Travel as assigned for team road trips, league events, and offseason content. When not traveling, be an active in-office participant.
Be on call for breaking news scenarios that occur in the evening, on weekends, and on holidays, unless otherwise stated.

Pay Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $56,800 - $76,700 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Qualifications
College degree or experience equivalent with 3-5 years demonstrated success administering/managing social media accounts for big brands.
Understanding/experience in social media management across a variety of platforms - TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads, Snapchat, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Experience using community management/listening & publishing tools (Spredfast, Sprinklr, Hootsuite etc.).
Experience managing successful paid social campaigns.
Experience reporting / providing insights around social analytics.
Experience with on-camera reporting responsibilities
Self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit.
Leadership experience delivering successful communities and social campaigns across multiple social media platforms and departments.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Strong computer skills (PhotoShop, Premiere, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) are a must.
