The Boston Bruins are hiring a full-time Social Media Manager to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Social Media Manager supports the execution of the Boston Bruins’ strategy across its social media channels and other content avenues. This position is responsible for helping to tell the stories of the hockey club through written, visual, video, audio, and other means of communication.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $56,800 – $76,700 / year In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Chief responsibilities include working alongside the Senior Manager of Digital Content as an administrator of the club’s social media platforms (i.e. X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads), with a chief focus on continuing to grow our presence on TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts and any other emerging platforms. Will lead the club’s social media/content influencer strategy by building and cultivating a list of influencers that drive promotion for organizational initiatives on and off the ice. Assists the Senior Manager, Digital Content in strategy and execution, both daily and at a broader level. Will also support in content planning as assigned, as well as collaboration with other business disciplines (partnerships, marketing, digital marketing, community relations, Foundation, etc.) to help grow the Bruins’ brand. Helps to identify new and engaging ways to deliver and execute content for the Bruins’ fans and followers, while also aiming to appeal to a new and diverse audience as digital and social media platforms continue to evolve. This also includes staying on top of social media and industry trends and the latest social media platforms and features to keep the club’s content fresh, while still aligning with the organization’s brand values. Supports editorial coverage on the club’s website and social media platforms with occasional on-camera responsibilities. This includes hosting the club’s daily news packages, conducting on-camera 1-on-1 interviews, and appearing in social media videos (i.e. TikTok and Reels) when appropriate. Assists, as assigned, with the club’s video production operation. Travel as assigned, including for team road trips, league events, and offseason content. When not traveling, even if the team is on the road or during the offseason, this position is expected to be an active in-office participant. Expected, unless otherwise stated, to be on call for breaking news scenarios that occur in the evening, on weekends, and on holidays. More about you

College degree or experience equivalent with 3-5 years demonstrated success administering/managing social media accounts for big brands. Understanding/experience in social media management across a variety of platforms – TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads, Snapchat, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Experience using community management/listening publishing tools (Spredfast, Sprinklr, Hootsuite etc.). Experience managing successful paid social campaigns. Experience reporting / providing insights around social analytics. Experience with on-camera reporting responsibilities Self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit. Leadership experience delivering successful communities and social campaigns across multiple social media platforms and departments. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Strong computer skills (PhotoShop, Premiere, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) are a must. Shift details
