Sr. Corporate Communications Specialist

Position Summary:
The Senior Specialist, Corporate Communications, is responsible for identifying and creating stories that engage external and internal audiences using earned, owned, and shared media. He/she will primarily support ADT’s Operations function, working closely with a broad group of ADT leaders. This position also collaborates closely with colleagues within the communications department, especially content creators and distribution specialists. This role reports to the Manager, Corporate Communications.
Responsibilities
Support and execute communications activities for various business areas, with a focus on Operations, Technology and Customer Experience
Create and execute strategic communication plans to effectively engage internal and external audiences and build ADT’s brand
Create high-quality communications materials across a variety of formats
Collaborate with external agencies to perform communications work on behalf of ADT
Establish and maintain strong relationships with journalists/media
Support in ensuring company spokespeople are well trained and prepared for communications responsibilities
Manage communication campaign activities during trade shows and similar events
Support general administrative as needed
Education/Certification
Bachelor's degree required; bachelor’s/master’s degree in a communications-related field preferred
Experience and Skills
At least three years of progressive communications experience, with background across PR, corporate communications, internal communications, or similar roles
Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization from frontline employees to senior management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously, while prioritizing high-return work
A creative, forward thinker, driven to seek out new ideas and consistently improve
Excellent writing, communication, storytelling, and project management skills
Must be able to edit content received from others, and manage quality control
Experience using communications technology to observe, measure and inform strategies and tactics is preferred
Working Conditions Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to type on a keyboard and operate a PC
Ability to transport materials or equipment or lifting, moving, carrying objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis
Ability to work in office and perform in corporate environment
Ability to travel for work related requirements as needed (media meetings, brand partnership requirements)
Communication Skills
Writing, talking, hearing on the phone (continually=67-100% of workday)
Ability to synthesize conversations and echo information back in subsequent conversations or within a project management platform
Utilization of project management tools
Location
Our office follows 4 days onsite and 1-day remote schedule
Occasional off-site support may be required for media events, production shoots, or conferences
Flexibility is required for limited after-hours availability during key launches or campaigns
Travel
Travel required occasionally to meet with external partners, meetings at HQ in Boca Raton, and/or industry events as needed
