Develop and execute a statewide ice safety outreach and education program. Target traditional users of frozen waters and educate people who are not familiar with ice safety; identify and remove barriers to participation by providing clear ice safety information. Maintain and review safety curriculum; assist with administration and outreach; support the boat and water safety program. Develop and deliver communications materials and strategies; collaborate with internal and external partners; provide support for outreach campaigns. Engage in public speaking and media communications; prepare talking points and strategies. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Two years of professional experience developing and implementing outreach and communication efforts, campaigns, and/or programs. A bachelor\'s degree in natural resources, marketing, communications, public affairs or a related field may substitute for 1 year of experience. Ability to write and communicate clearly to internal and external stakeholders (including media, government and non-government partners, local officials, educators, and customers/readers). Ability to review, interpret and present information to recommend effective communication, advertising, and marketing strategies. Public speaking experience sufficient to develop and deliver speeches and talking points. Experience using social media as part of professional large-scale marketing or outreach campaigns. Experience using Microsoft Office to prepare and deliver essential communications. Project management skills to organize and manage multiple projects; ability to multi-task under competing priorities. Human relations skills to work with diverse groups and gain cooperation of internal and external partners. Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor\'s degree in natural resources, marketing, communications, public affairs or a related field. Experience creating and implementing communications plans for large and small-scale efforts. Additional Requirements

Unrestricted Class D Driver\'s License with a clear driving record. Ability to meet the physical requirements and work in the environmental conditions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
