Senior Civil Designer - Land Development
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Land Development CAD Designer for our growing Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida offices. A successful candidate uses engineering principles, AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software to design and develop plans for civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
Prepare plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Participates in technical studies, design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans.
Filling out and completing permit applications for processing.
Construction administration support including field observation reports.
General Characteristics
Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments; serves as a Task Manager for midsize to large projects; serves as the technical specialist in the field of expertise; up to speed on industry standards and Company policies and procedures.
Minimum Years of Experience
18+ Years of Experience
Education
Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience.
Licenses & Certifications
Driver’s License
Technical Responsibilities
Lead and manage tasks to successful completion for time, budget, schedule, and quality.
Project and Task Management
Responsible for task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.
Management Responsibility
Provides advisement on scopes, budgets, and schedules for work to be completed; works with other project leadership to complete their assigned tasks; maintains GAI's procedures and protocols.
Responsible for management and administration of staff.
Communication Skills
Routinely interacts with clients, leads project and group meetings and presentations; possesses marketing and sales skills; represents the Company in a positive light; interacts with Project Managers and leaders of the Company on a regular basis; attends meetings with company leaders on Group/Department status including financial reviews.
