As PowerPlan embarks on a bold transformation, the Director, Marketing will play a critical role in shaping brand identity, driving demand generation, and aligning marketing strategy with product and commercial goals. This role offers the opportunity to establish and shape the function from the ground up, creating the framework, processes, and strategies that will guide future success. This highly visible leadership position offers the opportunity to refresh the corporate brand, introduce innovative marketing strategies, and harness AI to scale operations and accelerate responsiveness. The Director, Marketing will not only lead PowerPlans marketing functions, including communications, PR, events, and demand generationbut also serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership in defining how PowerPlan communicates its value to the market. With responsibility for building and mentoring a high-performing team, this leader will directly influence pipeline growth, product adoption, and long-term brand equity as PowerPlan strengthens its position as a financial software innovator. Functions and Responsibilities

The Director, Marketing will oversee all corporate communications, demand generation, events, and public relations functions. This high-profile role is pivotal as PowerPlan enters a new era of innovation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in refreshing PowerPlans brand, establishing new marketing strategies that accelerate company growth, and ensuring strong alignment with its evolving product strategy and commercial goals. This role demands a leader with proven experience in launching new products and planning cross-functional go-to-market efforts in a B2B SaaS environment. A critical aspect of this role will be the strategic adoption of AI to automate marketing tasks, increase team velocity, and enhance its responsiveness to dynamic business needs and market shifts. Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership Lead a comprehensive refresh of PowerPlans brand identity Oversee corporate communications to ensure consistent, impactful messaging aligned with product strategy

Demand Generation & Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership

Develop and execute innovative demand generation campaigns that drive pipeline growth and new customer acquisition Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver coordinated, cross-functional GTM strategies for new product launches Leverage AI-driven tools to automate and accelerate marketing execution

Events & Public Relations

Oversee customer events and public relations activities to enhance visibility and strengthen stakeholder engagement Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of high-performing marketing professionals Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement Champion AI adoption to enhance efficiency and scalability Work closely with the executive team to shape marketing priorities and report ROI-driven outcomes Use data and AI-powered insights to refine strategy and deliver actionable reporting Monitor market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive movements to identify opportunities for differentiation Integrate analytics to provide rapid, actionable insights that guide marketing strategy

Professional Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess 8+ years of progressive marketing experience in

a B2B SaaS environment, including 4+ years in a leadership role.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record leading brand refresh initiatives, product launches, and demand generation campaigns tied to commercial outcomes. Additional experience includes: Experience launching version 1.0 products and managing cross-functional GTM efforts Proven record of building (maturing processes), managing, and mentoring high-performing marketing teams Demonstrated experience in developing and executing annual marketing plans that are tightly aligned with product strategy and commercial goals Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with proven use of AI and automation tools in marketing Background in regulated utilities or asset-intensive industries, preferred, not required

Education Requirements
