The Senior Marketing Manager, Bars Innovation is responsible for leading the development and execution of JBSS’s innovation strategies, with a strong emphasis on expanding our Bars capabilities. This role oversees strategy, planning, commercialization, P&L management, and performance analysis for Bars-related projects, driving volume, revenue, and profit growth. It plays a pivotal role in transforming JBSS’s growth trajectory by entering new categories.

Position is 4 days a week on-site

Responsibilities

Drive critical innovation projects by managing cross-functional teams and supporting technical and leadership stakeholders. Ensure consumer-validated propositions are operationally feasible and financially viable, delivering best-in-class commercialization.

Create and refine innovative strategies for the Private Label portfolio to support JBSS’s growth. Continuously evaluate market trends, performance data, customer insights, and competitive analysis. Communicate strategies and progress effectively across the organization.

Oversee the development of project P&Ls, including sizing opportunities, pricing strategies, trade and marketing support, formula optimization, and manufacturing efficiencies to ensure profitable innovation.

Lead comprehensive post-launch evaluations to identify opportunities and optimize the performance of prioritized innovations. Analyze shipment and consumption data in collaboration with Directors, Insights leaders, and other stakeholders to strengthen innovation capabilities and ensure a robust, profitable pipeline over the next three to five years.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related business discipline; MBA strongly preferred.

Minimum of five years of experience in a marketing role within a consumer products company, ideally in the food industry.

Proven ability to translate consumer insights into actionable strategies that drive profitable growth and new product development.

Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration.
