The Fountain Group is hiring: Electro Mechanical Designer (CAD) in Wilmington

Duration: 5 month assignment with possibility of extension(s)

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong CAD expertise to support industrial equipment design projects in an onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine mechanical equipment designs using AutoCAD® 2023 and Inventor 2023.
• Prepare full drawing packages (assembly + detail) and ensure compliance with drafting standards.
• Execute design changes to resolve equipment interferences, reduce costs, and improve functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and project requirements.
• Perform elementary design calculations (statics, hydraulics, power transmission).

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD® 2023, Inventor 2023, and related CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of drive trains, actuators, system integration, and GD&T.
• Ability to interpret pneumatic/electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with machining and fabrication processes.
• Must be US Person status due to export compliance regulations.
• AS or BS in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology strongly preferred.
