ACARA Solutions and our client in Florham Park, NJ have a contract to direct hire position available
ECAD Designer
Active Secret Clearance is required at the time of hire
- The Electrical Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) Technician will conduct component and connector placement and signal/plane routing of printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- The ECAD Technician will create manufacturing documentation for fabrication and assembly.
- We will seek your counsel on determining scale, optimizing the location of power planes, spacing of components, and routing.
- You'll prepare production detail drawings and contribute design modifications to improve the quality of the product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
- Open to new ideas and serve as a champion for change when directed by management.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate Degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the use of current strategic CAD tools, Siemens (Mentor Graphics) Xpedition xPCB and Fablink.
- Distinct knowledge of PCB (PWB) fabrication techniques and manufacturability concepts.
- Superior knowledge of the strategic CAD and file management tools and design documentation standards.
- Ability to collaborate with electrical design engineers and mechanical engineers.
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
