Overview

We are hiring a Head of Marketing to establish our company as the defining AI brand in defense innovation. The defense industry is undergoing its biggest transformation in decades. AI is reshaping how companies secure government contracts, and we are at the center of that shift. Our customers include innovators building autonomous ground vehicles, next-generation drone capabilities, and AI technologies that will define the future of national security. Our growth so far has been driven by strong word of mouth from customers who rely on our platform. Now we need a marketing leader to amplify that story and position us as the must-have solution for defense companies navigating government contracting in the AI era. This is our first dedicated marketing hire. You will work directly with the founders to build the function from the ground up, craft the company narrative, and drive significant growth in one of the world’s most critical industries. We are looking for someone who understands how to market cutting-edge software to traditional industries, can turn complex technical capabilities into compelling stories, and has the strategic vision to build a world-class marketing organization.

What you’ll do

  • Content strategy and execution: Own and deliver the content calendar across launches, customer stories, partnerships, and thought leadership to position us as the AI leader in defense contracting
  • Conferences and events: Lead our presence at 1–2 industry conferences monthly, managing booth strategy, customer dinners, and brand visibility
  • Growth tech stack: Build and manage the marketing infrastructure that powers inbound motion, including lead capture, nurturing, attribution, and analytics
  • Narrative building: Partner with founders and customers to tell the story of how AI is transforming government contracting
  • Pipeline and revenue: Develop integrated campaigns that generate qualified leads and accelerate sales cycles
  • Team building: Scale the marketing organization as we grow
  • Thought leadership: Establish the company as a definitive voice on AI transformation in government contracting

Qualifications

  • 3–8 years of marketing experience at software companies serving traditional or regulated industries
  • Proven ability to build marketing functions from early stage through scale
  • Strong background in B2B marketing to enterprise customers and government stakeholders
  • Experience managing long sales cycles, complex buying processes, and technical decision-makers
  • Strategic thinker comfortable with both execution and team-building
  • Exceptional storytelling skills with experience positioning disruptive technology
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable growth through integrated campaigns

  • 3–8 years of relevant experience in growth, product marketing, or B2B marketing at startups or software companies
  • Visa sponsorship not available
  • On-site policy: 5 days per week in San Francisco
