Position Summary


As the Global Social Media Manager for OLEHENRIKSEN , you will report to the Director of Global Influencer & Social Media and play a key leadership role in shaping and driving the brand’s global social media presence. You will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, and execution of innovative, insight-driven social campaigns that drive brand love, engagement, and business growth across all social platforms. This role requires a digital-first, forward-thinking leader who can balance strategic vision with best-in-class execution, blending creativity, analytics, and cultural fluency to deliver high-impact social programs. You will be a cross-functional connector and storyteller, collaborating across Creative, Influencer, Brand Marketing, eCommerce, Global Education, International, and more to ensure social media acts as a powerful voice and vehicle for the OLEHENRIKSEN brand. Responsibilities



  • Own and lead the global social media strategy across all key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and other key platforms) to drive brand equity, storytelling, and business impact.

  • Translate brand and product marketing objectives into disruptive, insight-led social programs and campaigns — rooted in platform best practices and consumer behavior.

  • Act as the social lead on major brand campaigns and product launches, partnering cross-functionally to guide social-first storytelling and ensure alignment from concept to execution.

  • Oversee day-to-day management of global social channels including content calendars, publishing, copywriting, community management, and real-time engagement.

  • Lead development and execution of trend-forward, culturally relevant social content that aligns with brand identity while pushing creative boundaries.

  • Manage creative ideation and content creation (organic + partner-led) — from briefing to production, working closely with Influencer, Creative, and external collaborators.

  • Partner closely with the Influencer Manager to amplify UGC/creator content, integrate paid partners into organic strategies, and identify co-creation moments.

  • Guide and mentor junior team members, including Associate Managers or Coordinators, helping to build social media expertise and professional development.

  • Present and communicate strategies, creative ideas, and performance results to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Monitor social KPIs and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance, with insights and recommendations to optimize future strategies.

  • Manage the global organic social budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources and identifying opportunities for investment or efficiency.

  • Track platform updates, industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to keep the brand ahead of the curve in the evolving social landscape.

  • Champion social media within the organization — driving education, innovation, and integration across all brand touchpoints.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in beauty, skincare, or lifestyle. Must have experience across all major social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and scaling social media programs with measurable impact on brand and business.

  • Strong strategic thinking with ability to connect cultural moments, brand storytelling, and consumer insights.

  • Excellent creative sensibility and visual storytelling skills; elevated eye for beauty and lifestyle content.

  • Strong copywriting and communication skills; able to write and edit on-brand, engaging copy across platforms.

  • Proven experience managing budgets, agencies, and cross-functional projects from concept to execution.

  • Deep knowledge of the social media landscape, platform algorithms, tools, and emerging tech.

  • Comfortable analyzing data and turning insights into strategy; experience with tools like Dash Hudson, ListenFirst, Traackr, etc.

  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and leadership skills; able to manage timelines, multiple stakeholders, and shifting priorities.

  • A passion for skincare and the digital space, with a pulse on what’s next in social culture.
