Engage in collaborations with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and family members to form unified care approaches. Provide education to patients and families to bolster improvement efforts outside of therapy sessions. Support occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain care continuity throughout patient treatment journeys. Ensure timely and accurate documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if awaiting ASHA certification. Certifications Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills Expertise in applying evidence-based practices for individuals across age groups, with a rich understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
