Overview

Editor - NBC Boston, NECN & Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra role at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. NBC10 Boston, NECN and Telemundo Boston is looking for a team player to join us as an Editor. In this role, you will be responsible for editing stories, including spot news, promotable content, social media content, special projects, and show edits.

Responsibilities

• Edit on Adobe Premiere edit systems and be proficient in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
• Create graphics for promotable content and incorporate animation.
• Create, edit, and post social media content on various platforms in multiple aspect ratios.
• Respond quickly to breaking news while coordinating with the assignment desk, reporters/anchors, production, control room, and Telemundo/NBC personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years editing experience in a medium or major market TV news station
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating communication tools and staying connected with the assignment constituencies (e.g., email, cell phone, messaging tools)

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere edit systems
• Team player who is flexible
• Bilingual Spanish and English; both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, collaborative and creative to tell stories with sound and images

• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overnights.

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must accept NBCUniversal’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program (Solutions).
• On-site requirement: This position must be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
