Job Summary

This casual labor position supports the Athletics Department's social media and digital content operations at our institution. The role focuses on creating engaging content for collegiate sporting events, designing athletics-related graphics, and maintaining the department's social media presence. This part-time, flexible position is ideal for students seeking hands-on experience in sports communications and digital media within a collegiate athletics environment.

Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Create and publish compelling content across department social media platforms before, during, and after collegiate sporting events
  • Assist with capturing photos/videos during games, meets, matches and other athletic events
  • Highlight student-athlete achievements, academic honors, and athletic milestones

Graphic Design

  • Design graphics, posters, and visual elements for social media posts following university and athletics branding guidelines
  • Support the creation of promotional materials for special events, rivalry games, and championships

Social Media Management

  • Schedule and monitor social media posts according to athletics content calendar
  • Help implement social media campaigns to increase student, alumni, and community engagement
  • Track basic social media analytics and engagement metrics

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Athletics Communications staff during game days

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
