Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) . As a Play Experience Designer, you’ll help shape one-of-a-kind playgrounds and custom play structures from concept to creation. Responsibilities
Design engaging, thematic play environments and sculptural features Develop 3D concept models, renderings, and technical design packages Work with our creative, engineering, and production teams Translate stories and ideas into tangible play experiences Present designs internally and, on occasion, externally to clients or reps Research and ideate around materials, trends, and safety standards Bring big energy, fresh ideas, and an eye for details to every project What We’re Looking For
A degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Exhibit/Themed Design, or related field 2+ years of professional design experience Highly proficient in SketchUp Pro for concept modeling, presentation renderings, and technical documentation. Proficiency in other 3D modelling software (Blender, ZBrush), Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools (Twinmotion a plus) Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, storytelling, and spatial thinking Curiosity, collaboration skills, and a willingness to get scrappy when needed Bonus: experience with playgrounds, themed environments, sculpture, or hands-on fabrication Seniority level
