We are looking for our next Media Planner in our SF office. Our goal is for this person to come to our SF location 2-3 times per week to work with the team. The other days can be remote. Responsibilities

A Planner’s primary role is to independently design and execute integrated media plans from start to finish. They are the Sr. Planner/Supervisor’s go-to for campaign planning, optimization requests, and for solutions to media-related issues. The Planner collaborates with internal departments including creative, production, and account to build strategic recommendations, bringing forth consumer insights and media best practices. They should push to bring innovative thinking to clients. The Planner is responsible for developing media strategies and executing tactical recommendations including but not limited to negotiations, contract execution, optimizing media performance, billing/budget/work order management, and vendor management. A qualified Planner is defined as being organized, proactive, detailed and accurate, with the flexibility to be nimble, as needed. They must be a self-starter who can help find strategic solutions and efficient ways to work. A Planner must also think critically, collaborate in a team environment, communicate insights and demonstrate an understanding of complex topics. Planners have strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel along with experience using data and research to develop media recommendations. Successful Planners embrace all types of media, and have a genuine interest in consumer behavior. Planners also have solid organizational and project management skills. Qualifications

1-2 years in media planning in an ad or media agency Strong knowledge of Excel Detail oriented Proactive and curious Strong knowledge of both offline and digital media planning and buying Understanding and use of 3rd party research tools (e.g., Simmons/MRI, Telmar, Comscore, etc) Appreciation for great creative work and a passionate student of media and advertising Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation Seniority level
