Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager

Interior and product designer with an award-winning firm based in West Hollywood is looking to add a senior interior designer. The company does high end residential and commercial projects of various sizes nationwide. This position is for someone who works collaboratively but desires design autonomy, has project leadership skills including participation with clients, and wants name recognition in published or other media promoted efforts.

Responsibilities

Lead design development from concept through construction documents.

Prepare CAD production of full sets and complete design, bid, and construction drawings.

Coordinate selections and specifications of materials, furniture, finishes, and custom pieces.

Manage project budgeting of materials and construction costs.

Oversee purchasing, expediting orders, and coordination with vendors.

Exemplary in-office and on-site project management.

Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and team members; maintain organized project documentation.

Qualifications

A degree in Interior Design or Architecture.

A minimum of 5 years of experience.

Impressive residential and commercial design experience from concept to punch list.

Proficiency with CAD production of full sets and complete set of design, bid and construction drawings.

Knowledge and resource skills with selections and specifications of materials, furniture, finishes, and creation of custom pieces.

Project budgeting of materials and construction costing.

Experience with purchasing, expediting orders, and working with vendors.

Strong in-office and on-site project management skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook and PowerPoint; Photoshop and SketchUp skills are encouraged.

Studio Designer software experience is a plus; 3ds Max experience is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication, initiative, problem-solving, multi-tasking, organization, and time management; thrives in a fast-paced professional environment.
