Overview Communications Senior Manager, Mobile and Home Value Proposition and Competitive Differentiation

Role on the National Consumer Unit Communications team planning, developing and implementing integrated communications plans for Verizon’s mobile and home value proposition. Focus on ensuring consistent and impactful coverage in national, trade, consumer lifestyle, tech and business outlets; shaping narratives that differentiate Verizon, strengthening brand reputation, building loyalty, and driving consumer business results. Requires deep experience in tech and the competitive landscape and the ability to anticipate and respond quickly to competition.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies for national, consumer-led value propositions for mobile and home with a focus on home.

Drive media relations strategy on proactive and reactive bases in support of consumer priorities and offers.

Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, identifying opportunities for differentiated messaging.

Lead and/or support priority campaigns for consumer audiences in collaboration with network, corporate, CMO, local, segment and employee comms.

Build and manage relationships with press, influencers and key opinion leaders to enhance Verizon’s voice in the marketplace.

Develop and maintain relationships with influential external partners and cross-functional internal stakeholders.

Drive cross-functional collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to campaigns and launches and maximize impact.

Manage communications agency partners to create and execute plans that drive business results.

Identify and mitigate reputational risk to help protect the Verizon brand.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work, military experience, or specialized training.

Experience working on complex product launches.

Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with the press.

Willingness to travel.

Preferred qualifications

Background in consumer products, tech or marketing.

Strong relationships with reporters.

Proven track record of developing and implementing integrated communications plans beyond traditional PR.

Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.

Work Arrangement Hybrid role with a defined work location: some days in the office and others remote. Manager will set the in-office days. Compliance with hybrid work policies is required.

Compensation and Benefits Salary varies by location and experience. This is an incentive-based position with potential for higher earnings. Benefits include health and wellness options, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) with company match, holidays, personal days, parental leave, tuition assistance, and other rewards as part of Verizon’s total rewards package.

The annual salary range for listed locations on this requisition is: $115,500.00 - $201,000.00.
