Overview
Parametrix is seeking a Senior Wastewater Process Design Manager to join our Water Team. This role will support projects in Washington and Oregon, with a preference to be based in Western Washington or Oregon. Exceptional candidates outside the area may be considered if they are willing to travel for client connection, mentorship, team integration, and key initiatives. Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes, including biological and advanced treatment technologies. Serve as engineer of record for preliminary engineering studies and planning documents; develop plans, drawings, and specifications with primary emphasis on wastewater treatment facilities. Experience with process modeling (BioWIN or similar), hydraulic modeling, and cost estimating. Desirable but not required: mechanical process piping design and construction support services. Coordinate and manage the design phase of water and wastewater projects, ensuring technical specifications, regulatory requirements, QA, and client expectations are met. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, tasks, and provide mentorship to project engineers; ensure deadlines and budgets are met. Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers across civil, mechanical, electrical and structural disciplines; coordinate with teaming partners to deliver projects; provide technical mentorship to engineers at various career stages. Collaborate with clients to understand needs, provide project updates, address challenges, and lead or participate in client workshops. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field. Professional Engineering License (PE). 10+ years of progressive municipal water/wastewater treatment planning, design, and construction support experience. Understanding of design software tools for the water industry, including BioWIN, Revit, and Civil 3D. Compensation
Base salary for this position is in the range of $130,000-$200,000 per year, depending on education, experience, and location. Compensation may also include performance-based bonuses and annual salary reviews. About Parametrix
