Executive Producer, Streaming

ABC13, Houston’s top-rated news channel, is looking for an experienced manager for a portion of our 13 hours of live daily news. This role will encompass all of our digital and linear endpoints, and the right candidate will have experience managing teams across that spectrum. Whether it's breaking weather or traffic, big breaking news, or important investigative work, we are a news-first organization that produces 13 live hours of news a day with hard-hitting information and minimal fluff. The right candidate has a high attention to detail, understands the nuances of every element we stream or broadcast, and possesses strong technical skills to manage and operate our newsroom production system. They should have recent experience producing and managing newscasts from a control room environment. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations, production, and leadership of streaming products and live events. Oversee linear newscasts, including production, execution, and news judgment for content inclusion. Provide training for producers of linear and streaming newscasts, especially with limited resources. Basic Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Top 10 market in daily operations, production, and leadership of local news streaming products. Ability to make quick, strategic decisions and collaborate closely with other newsroom and station leaders. Must demonstrate a strong, thoughtful, and compassionate communication style when making decisions with the team.
