Salesforce, San Francisco, California, United States
Overview
Senior Product Designer, Slack Growth (with UX writing focus) role at Salesforce. The Growth Design team focuses on helping more people discover, adopt, and get value from Slack. We design thoughtful, high-quality experiences that guide users through their journey, from trying Slack for the first time to growing their team and upgrading. We’re looking for a strong, experienced designer who also has experience with content design and can deliver on the whole experience, from the words to the interactions and visual design.
You’ll focus on solving user experience problems through content strategy, information structure, and language. You should excel at making the complicated simple, creating clarity, and crafting clear, human-sounding product copy that drives trials, upgrades, and feature adoption.
If you’re passionate about shaping the end-to-end product experience and have strong content and product design skills, please apply. Slack fosters a positive, diverse, and encouraging culture where curiosity and inventiveness are valued.
What you’ll be doing

- Collaborate with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and other designers to build customer-centric experiences
- Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners to represent the design team, facilitate design discussions, and provide feedback in planning and product channels
- Work across the entire product design process: strategy, user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes, visuals, and handoff
- Solicit feedback from peers, including other product designers and teammates in your product team
- Partner with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation and user experience
- Raise the bar for craft by contributing to and evolving our design system
- Collaborate with Design Leadership to inform and improve design processes
- Contribute to content strategy, content design, and product copy for Slack Growth
- Develop content strategy frameworks, messaging guidelines, and component-level language guidelines
- Utilize content-first design methods to drive divergent and convergent thinking
- Create narratives that demonstrate the intent and desired outcome of new, strategic projects
- Demonstrate impact through data-driven decisions
- Contribute to building a positive, collaborative, and healthy team culture
What you should have
- 5+ years of experience as a product designer with a strong track record of shipping high-impact work
- A growth mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, experimental environment
- A strong UX portfolio showing work in product design, UX writing, and content strategy with measurable impact
- Proficiency in Figma and experience with design system components to create prototypes and high-fidelity solutions
- Experience advocating for content and design and driving projects forward despite obstacles
- A strong understanding of the Slack voice and ability to adapt it by context
- Ability to think holistically across web, desktop, and mobile platforms
- Understanding of interaction design, usability, systems thinking, and accessibility best practices
- Knowledge of dependencies between design, frontend, and backend technologies and experience with design systems
- Ability to build usable, accessible, and modular designs scalable to millions of users
- Comfort working autonomously, navigating ambiguity, and influencing cross-functional partners
- Experience collaborating with Product Managers to develop feature strategy and rationale
