Director of Worship & Media Arts – Key Responsibilities
- WORSHIP PLANNING & LEADERSHIP:
- COLLABORATE WITH THE PASTOR TO PLAN AND COORDINATE WEEKLY WORSHIP SERVICES, ENSURING COHESIVE INTEGRATION OF MUSIC, VISUAL ARTS, AND MEDIA ELEMENTS
- SELECT AND PREPARE DIVERSE MUSICAL REPERTOIRE, INCLUDING HYMNS, CONTEMPORARY SONGS, AND SPECIAL MUSIC, THAT ALIGNS WITH WORSHIP THEMES AND THEOLOGICAL MESSAGES
- CREATE AND CURATE VISUAL CONTENT FOR WORSHIP SERVICES, SUCH AS SLIDES, VIDEOS, AND OTHER DIGITAL MEDIA USING PRO-PRESENTER AND PLANNING CENTER SERVICES
- PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:
- ESTABLISH AND PURSUE GOALS FOR THE MUSIC AND MEDIA ARTS MINISTRIES
- DEVELOP AND LEAD ADDITIONAL MUSIC GROUPS, SUCH AS PRAISE TEAM, HANDBELL CHOIRS, CHILDREN'S CHOIRS, OR INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLES
- ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION FROM ALL AGE GROUPS, WITH A FOCUS ON YOUTH AND CHILDREN'S INVOLVEMENT IN MUSIC AND MEDIA ARTS
- ADMINISTRATION AND LEADERSHIP:
- SUPERVISE AND MENTOR VOLUNTEER TEAMS IN MUSIC AND MEDIA ARTS MINISTRIES
Qualifications
- SHALL BE ACTIVE IN THE CHRISTIAN FAITH AND SUPPORTIVE OF THE CHURCH’S BEDROCK BELIEFS, MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES.
- PERSONAL MATURITY: IS APPROACHABLE, CREDIBLE, AND TRUSTWORTHY; HAS THE ABILITY TO HEAR AND SPEAK TRUTH, AS WELL AS RESOLVE ISSUES IN A CHRIST-LIKE MANNER.
- STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: RELATES WELL TO STAFF, PEERS, LEADERSHIP, SERVANT VOLUNTEERS, SUPPLIERS, AND DENOMINATIONAL RESOURCES TREATING THEM WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT, AS WELL AS CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE OF TRUST AND THE ABILITY TO MAINTAIN AND KEEP CONFIDENCES.
- OUTGOING AND ENGAGING PERSONALITY WITH A KNACK FOR INITIATING CONVERSATIONS; COMFORTABLE WITH PUBLIC SPEAKING AND ABLE TO CAPTIVATE AN AUDIENCE WITH ENTHUSIASM AND CLARITY.
- STRONG VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL SKILLS, PARTICULARLY IN PIANO OR GUITAR
- TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- EXPERTISE IN AUDIO-VISUAL TECHNOLOGY AND DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCTION
- PROFICIENCY IN RELEVANT SOFTWARE FOR MUSIC NOTATION, AUDIO EDITING, AND VISUAL CONTENT CREATION, ESPECIALLY GOOGLE SUITE, PRO-PRESENTER, AND PLANNING CENTER
- LEADERSHIP AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- COLLABORATIVE SPIRIT AND ABILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY WITH STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, AND CONGREGATION MEMBERS
- PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- DEEP FAITH COMMITMENT AND ALIGNMENT WITH THE CHURCH'S MISSION AND VALUES

Hours and Compensation
- HOURS: 40 hours per week including Sunday and Christian Holidays (flexible schedule)
- SALARY: $60,000.00 - $62,000.00
