We’re looking for an Events & Social Media Manager who’s equal parts creator, connector, and culture-obsessed. About 70% of your time will go toward building our social presence, and 30% will focus on executing in-person events (with travel of up to one week per month, at most). You’ll be the person making sure Respondology shows up in the feeds and at the events where marketers are paying attention. We don’t just want to grow a brand handle. We want someone who gets the value of building people’s handles and helping our execs and team members shine as thought leaders. On the events side, you’ll roll up your sleeves and help us bring our brand to life—whether it’s a private dinner for marketing leaders or showing up at a major industry conference. From RSVPs to swag to capturing the perfect behind-the-scenes moment for socials, you’ll help make it happen. About Respondology: Put simply, we’re a social marketer’s best friend. Respondology is the social comments company with AI solutions for moderating unwanted content, surfacing insights, and engaging at any scale. We work with major sports teams and brands across industries to build community at scale by helping social media marketers listen to, protect, and engage with their hard-won audiences. Responsibilities

Social Media (70%)

Build and execute Respondology’s social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other channels where marketers live Create and post content that doesn’t read like B2B copy-paste (or GPT copy-paste). You are creative and don’t want to put up boring content that anyone could create. You’re also not afraid to hop on a trend if it makes sense. Partner with our content marketing manager to nail messaging and storytelling Grow the reach and influence of key team members’ personal handles by collaborating on ideas and content that highlight their thought leadership. Track performance, share insights, and constantly experiment with new formats and trends Events (30%)

Coordinate our own events—think intimate dinners, happy hours, and curated gatherings for marketing leaders Handle logistics: restaurant selection, reservations, invites, RSVPs, swag creation + shipping Partner with agencies/partners for larger events when needed Capture content during events that plays well on social—highlight moments, energy, and community Work closely with the marketing team to tie event efforts into larger campaigns and cross-functional initiatives What you need to get our attention

3+ years of social media experience at a B2B or B2C brand Startup experience strongly preferred Personally obsessed with pop culture, social media, and brand storytelling Excited to bring B2C-style creativity to B2B marketing Strong project management skills—you can juggle multiple moving parts and still hit deadlines Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 1 week per month at most) You thrive in fast-paced environments and can adapt as things change; if you prefer rigid structure, a startup may not be for you Nice to have

A portfolio of standout content (social posts, campaigns, event recaps) that shows creativity and results A track record of building and managing your own social media presence with real engagement About the role details
