Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer who can independently manage and execute large-scale residential new construction projects from concept through completion. This role requires strong expertise in Florida building codes, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a deep understanding of construction processes and architectural detailing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, the technical expertise to oversee execution, and the leadership skills to collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and vendors. Responsibilities
Lead and manage high-end residential new construction and renovation projects
from initial concept to final installation. Develop and execute comprehensive design plans , including spatial layouts, custom millwork, and material selections. Create and refine AutoCAD drawings and construction documents , ensuring compliance with Florida building codes and regulations. Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, and vendors
to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables , proactively addressing any challenges. Conduct on-site visits
to review progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain design integrity. Specify and source furnishings, materials, finishes, and fixtures , ensuring adherence to project goals and client preferences. Present design concepts, selections, and project updates to clients and stakeholders . Mentor and collaborate with junior designers , guiding them through technical and creative aspects of projects. Qualifications
10+
years of experience in
luxury residential interior design
(new construction & renovations).
12-15 years is preferred. Strong knowledge of Florida building codes, permitting, and construction regulations . Proficiency in AutoCAD
(Required). Experience working directly with
contractors, architects, and builders
on-site. Ability to
read, interpret, and produce construction documents
and technical drawings. Strong understanding of
materials, finishes, and millwork detailing . Project management experience , with the ability to oversee multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. Excellent
communication and presentation skills
for client meetings. Knowledge of
FF&E specification, procurement, and installation . Proficiency in design software such as
SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
is a plus. NCIDQ certification
or a
degree in Interior Design or Architecture
