General Summary:
The Associate Technical Designer is responsible for creating tech packs, managing sample revisions, and collaborating closely with designers, factories, and production teams to maintain design integrity, quality, and fit. Strong knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and industry standards is essential. This position supports the Wholesale Handbag business.
The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site five days per week.
Key Responsibilities : Ability to generate tech packs for all handbag design and development Ability to update and revise existing technical specs with design changes Finalize technical specs in prep for production Assemble visual line plans Generate Excel spreadsheets for sample tracking and seamless factory communication Create seasonal material cards Correspond with factories on a daily basis during the product development phase and sample follow-up Coordinate all sample requests from sales and production teams Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Design or Design Preferred Minimum of 3+ Years experience as a Technical Designer Handbag experience is required Proficient in illustrator, photoshop, with the ability to CAD and generate technical handbag specs Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Hardware technical experience a pulse Keen eye for details, will be reviewing and commenting on factory samples Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $75,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
